How long does a gearbox diagnostic take?

This shouldn’t take too long. But it does depend on the vehicle. On average it should take 1-2 hours once on the ramp.

How long will my gearbox repair take?

As with every gearbox this will depend on the condition of your vehicle and parts availability. Please call us today and we will be happy to discuss your gearbox repair with you.

Will an oil service fix my gearbox problem?

This, again, will all depend on the gearbox fault. But ordinarily, this will not fix a broken gearbox. Our expert technicians will be able to diagnose the gearbox fault and offer a solution to get you back on the road.

Do you fit second-hand gearboxes?

We have an extensive range of refurbished gearboxes for our customers to pick from. However we do not fit any other reconditioned/secondhand gearboxes as we cannot guarantee work carried out by other suppliers.

Does your warranty cover customer supplied clutches?

Although we are happy to fit customer supplied clutches, our warranty does not cover them, as we cannot guarantee other companies parts supplied for your vehicle.

Will you accept another company's diagnostic report?

If it is from a recognised main dealer we will accept their gearbox diagnostic report. But we cannot accept other reports supplied. In that case we would look to do a new diagnostic report to ensure we have all the correct information to make an informed decision on how to fix your gearbox.

If I supply new parts will you fit them?

If they are brand new parts supplied, yes we can fit them. However our warranty would not extend to them. Please call us to discuss your requirements.

Does the price include VAT?

All prices are quoted. So please be aware of this when getting a quotation.

Went here yo get a diagnostic for my gearbox, Staff were friendly and helpful. My complaints would be that £60 for a diagnostic which only consisted of plugging my car into a fault reader was quite expensive in my opinion also they refuse to use aftermarket parts even if I got my own and use there labour even if I understood there would be no guarantee for the part on their end. The guy helping me was nice enough and straight to the point.

My experience with this company is second to none. From the receptionist to the gearbox engineers, all the staff are polite & knowledgeable. If they don't know the answer, they don't guess (or make excuses) - they ask a fellow member of staff.If your vehicle has a gearbox issue, give them a call. Their knowledge is second to none & their prices are excellent for the service you receive.
